Highlights about this post :

- Twitter
- Facebook
- College
- Hairstyle
- CCNA
- Naruto
- IBM’s The Great Mind Challenge (TGMC)
- Mozilla Campus Representative

I’m back on Twitter, thanks to TweetDeck! It’s an Adobe AIR application, which helps you to post on multiple Twitter accounts, and Facebook account.

Catch me on Twitter :-

And that brings us to Facebook. I must confess that I was very much intimidated with it’s interface long back, and hence had de-activated my account. But, TweetDeck helped me overcome this, and now, I’m even more “social” (though I still loathe the stupid quizzes). Few of my school & college friends have also joined Facebook, and are using their “REAL” names (unlike Orkut).

And that brings us to College. I’m currently in the middle of 5th semester, and expecting the main exams to get over by 24th December 2009. Also hoping for Campus Placements this semester or the next one. I might carry on with my current hairstyle for the interviews too.

And that brings us to Hairstyle. I’ve not trimmed my hair since mid of July, and I prefer to keep the reasons for the same with myself.

Update : Got a haircut

No, that doesn’t lead us to CCNA, but I’m going to talk about it anyway.
I started studying for CCNA a couple of weeks ago. I’ve finished ICND 1, and half-way through ICND 2. It’s really really interesting and I created my own lab with 2 Routers and 1 Cloud.

I’ve configured “Akatsuki” router properly, and it can connect/ping/traceroute to Internet. I used Microsoft’s LoopBack adapter and shared the Internet connection from the Wireless LAN.

Here is the layout :

You might have noticed weird names for the routers, and that brings us to the next topic, Naruto.
I’m currently hooked onto an Anime (“cartoon” for those people who don’t understand and don’t want to understand different forms of cartoons) named “Naruto”. I started with Anime, and I liked it so much that I even started reading it’s Manga (“comic” in Japanese).

I’m also engaged in a project making competition organized by IBM known as The Great Mind Challenge (TGMC). It’s mainly a Java based project, which involves Project Planning, Modeling, Coding and Documenting the software. Me, along with 3 of my classmates, are doing Online Library Management System under the team name – BlueShadow (cool haan?)

And the last topic for this post. My friend Vikram introduced me to “Mozilla Campus Representative” program from Mozilla (duh!). It’s about promoting and bringing awareness about “The Open Web” and “Firefox” in your college. How do we do that? Well, Mozilla gives us something known as a “Swag Pack”, which is better explained here -> http://www.thechetan.com/2009/09/now-i-am-mozilla-campus-representative/

So, that’s the end of my 1st ever, fully linked, highly educative update. See ya after an year or so. I’m so damn tired!
(Psst…Try to decrypt the title of this blog post ;)

How to PWN your friend? A n00b friendly guide for my readers from the master of PWNGES – a.k.a. The Pragnetizer!

0) Be a man!

1) Take a nap, and come online.

2) Check your contact list, and target your victim.

3) Make sure your victim is chatting with your other friend.

4) Go and ping both of them, and ask about their recent conversations, and make sure they aren’t personal.

Now for the main part. Make sure your target isn’t tech savvy and doesn’t know much about Google, Yahoo! and MSN.

5) Give your friend few lines which only you and your target talk normally, and tell him/her to paste it in their conversation box.

6) Wait for your target to faint.

7) GOTO Step-5.

8) Then ask your dear friend to paste whatever your victim is typing, and respond accordingly. Do this until your victim gets frustrated and goes to gym.

9) Roll on the floor laughing.

10) Tell your mum about the whole incident.

Optional step (To be taken only when your victim is a n00b in Short Message Service too) :

–Tell your victim that whatever messages he/she is sending to your friend to delete the previous chats (which you might be reading according to the victim) are getting redirected to your email account.

Congratulations! Your friend just got Pragnetized!!!

Wish the “storm” part was true. Scorching heat in Bangalore makes me compare it with the summer in Delhi. But atleast the “Rider” part makes me happy. I cleared my Driving License Test for 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler yesterday.

I would say it was more like an Endurance Test, making us wait for our turns to come and show our NFS style driving and Dirt-Bike style riding skills. Yes, I am sarcastic on this part. They made us go few meters (without acceleration) in front, and few meters in reverse, and Bingo! I PASSED!
For Bike, they told us to go straight, take a left turn, and get lost!

Lyrics (Hindi) :-

hue naam oye benishan kaise kaise
zameen kha gayi naujawan kaise kaise

aaj jawani par itaranae wale kal pacthtayega - 2
chadhta suraj dheere dheere dhalta hain dhal jayega - 2
dhal jayega dhal jayega - 2

tu yahan musafir hain, yeh sarah fani hain
chaar roz ki mehmaan teri jindagani hain
teri jindagani hain teri jindagani hain
jan zameen jar zevar kutch na saath jayega
khali haath aaya hain khali haath jayega
khali haath jayega khali haath jayega
jaan kar bhi anjana ban raha hain deewane
apni umrefani par tan raha hain deewane
tan raha hain deewane tan raha hain deewane
is kadar tu khoya hain is jahan ke mele
tu khuda ko bhula hain phas ke is jhamaele main
aaj tak yeh dekha hain paanewala khota hain
jindagi ko jo samjha jindagi pe rota hain
jindagi pe rota hain jindagi pe rota hain
mitne wali duniya ka aaitbaar karta hain
kya samajh ke tu aakhir isse pyar karta hain
isse pyar karta hain isse pyar karta hain
apne apne fikro main jo bhi hain woh uljha hain
jo bhi hain woh uljha hain
jindagi haqeeqat main kya hain kaun samjha hain
kya hain kaun samjha hain
aaj samajhle aaj samajhle kal yeh mauka haath na tere aayega
o gaflat ki neend main sone wale dhoka khayega
chadhta suraj dheere dheere dhalta hain dhal jayega - 2
dhal jayega dhal jayega - 2

maut ne zamane ko yeh sama dikh dala
kaise kaise us gum ko khak main mila dala
khak main mila dala khak main mila dala
yaad rakh sikander ke hausle to aali they
jab gaya tha duniya se dono haath khali they
dono haath khali they dono haath khali they
apna woh halaku hain aur na uske saathi hain
jung ko chu woh porus hain aur na uske haathi hain
aur na uske haathi hain aur na uske haathi hain
kal jo tanke chalte they apni shano shaukat par
shamma tak nahi jalti aaj unki purbat par
aaj unki purbat par aaj unki purbat par
apna ho ya ala ho sabko laut jaana hain
sabko laut jaana hain sabko laut jaana hain
muflifoh tavundar ka kabra hi thikana hain
kabra hi thikana hain kabra hi thikana hain
jaisi karni jaisi karni waisi bharni aaj kiya kal payega
sir ko uthakar chalne wale ek din thokar payega
chadhta suraj dheere dheere dhalta hain dhal jayega - 2
dhal jayega dhal jayega - 2

maut sabko aani hain kaun isse chuta hain
tu fana nahi hoga yeh khayal jhutha hain
yeh khayal jhutha hain yeh khayal jhutha hain
saans tutate hi sab rishtey tut jaayenge
baap, maa, behan, biwi, Bachhe choot jayenge
bachhe choot jayenge Bachhe choot jayenge
tere jitne hain bhai waqt ka chalan denge
chin kar teri daulat do hi gaj kafan denge
do hi gaj kafan denge do hi gaj kafan denge
jinko apna kehta hain kab yeh tere saathi hain
kabra hain teri mazil aur yeh baraati hain
laake kabra main tujhko urda pak dalenge
apne haathon se tere muh pe khak dalenge
muh pe khak dalenge muh pe khak dalenge
teri saari ulfat ko khak main mila denge
tere chahne wale kal tujhe mila denge
kal tujhe mila denge kal tujhe mila denge
isliye yeh kehta hu khub soch le dil main
kyon phasaye baitha hain jaan apni mushkil main
jaan apni mushkil main jaan apni mushkil main
kar gunaho se tauba aake baat sambhal jaaye
aake baat sambhal jaaye
dum ka kya bharosa hain jaane kab nikal jaaye
jaane kab nikal jaaye
muthhi bandh ke aanewale, muthhi bandh ke aanewale haath pasare

jayega
dhan daulat jaagir se tune kya paya kya payega
chadhta suraj dheere dheere dhalta hain dhal jayega - 6

I am writing this blog post with the help of a tool called Windows Live Writer. I must say that I found this tool much better than MS Word 2007. It has enormous features dedicated to blogs.

While setting up my blog’s configuration in this tool, it created a temporary blog post in order to detect the theme settings and other configuration.

I really recommend this tool to my fellow bloggers and the newbies who wish to step into the world of blogging.

From Pragith :-

Upon begging and pleading (and a treat at Ragham’s Bakery) by one of the framer of this utter crap, I posted this on my blog.

The following data is the sole responsibility of few “jobless” people in our class, who are showing the glimpses of their talent which they might be compiling and executing in their later stages of life.
I hereby write on the concrete box of WordPress’s Blog Post, that I cannot be held responsible for the use of words below and don’t contact me for the same. The typos are intentional and don’t conclude that my friends are illiterate in the Indo-European language called English.
The rules were broken within few hours of their making. So, now you know how determined we are.

From “Organized Chaos” :-

To all our classmates,

The Terms & Conditions & the Rules & Regulations to be implemented by yourselves, for yourselves, of yourselves & to yourselves!
This memorandum was framed, amended, created by the committee comprising of the following members, Kaushik, Harsh, Amogh, Jugal, Mallya & Sagar. The committee is been monopolised by the name, “Organized Chaos”.
We were pequited & puckered into this mission after lending our hearing devices to our legal advisor, Vineeth. He actually kicked the bucket present in our minds which resulted in the extravagant flow of franchising thoughts.
This transgressed a tedious strife which petrified our thoughts & infringed us to realize that we were megranimous fools till then!
These set of parametric instulations are being empowered on each one of us, just for the sake of intense immunology which shall be gratified on the perspective of exploring yourselves which is being curtailed by an Orthographic illusion which is being projected on certain basis.
This involves the mutual co-ordination between the inner soul & the outer mind.

The Rules:-

The abolition of THUMBS UP!!
This game called Thumbs Up was usually played by the warriors of Great great Kings. This game used to judge one’s abilities & capabilities in the war field.
The game involves a very insane mannerism. During the Early ages, this game was played in the Collosseum in Rome. A person’s strength & vigour was calculated. The loser was treated to be a jackass!

This game was very well played & practiced by our classmates systematically, dedicatedly, day in and day out. Due to the late realization that this was abolished by the late prime minister of Phillipines, our classmates were forced to stop the game & confine themselves within the disciplinary measures taken by the administration.

The End of Coupling!
The capacitance of a capacitor is increased by the introduction of a dielectric between the plates. Similarly, we the members of “Organized Chaos” decided to burn the midnight oil & revolutionize….
The point is, no more pairing up of gals & guyz in class.
Due to the lack of words & time & space, we are finally coming to an end of this Confidential Data.
Thanking You
Yours faithfully

“Organized Chaos”

Sunday, 17th Feb. 2008, is now registered as the 1st tour of our ISE batch’s small gang. Arranged by my friends, Malyadri, Jugal & Amogh, for our friends, (well, it’s a long list, so I better not name all) went to a place near Sri Rangapatna, named Balmuri Falls (Damn! The names of the places in Karnataka just don’t get into my mind and mouth). I don’t want to churn your bandwidth, so I have uploaded the photos in my Picasa Web Album.

We gathered at some 6:45 am in HAL’s (Airport) Bus Stop in Bangalore. Then we set sail (well, not exactly sail) to the *ahem* earlier mentioned place. On the way, we played (sort of), dumb charades and sung songs (my newly learnt “Pettai Rap” song from the not-so old movie Kadhalan, earned me a good round of applause). In a couple+1 (does that make triple?) hours, we had to fill our tanks (Read – Stomach), so went in to a sort of sophisticated dhaba. I ordered 2 Idli (does idli have a plural form?), and 2 vada (i). After filling our tanks and burping loudly, we resumed our journey.

Finally, we reached our destination, and were slightly disappointed because as the name says, “Falls”, we couldn’t see any water fall, except water continuously falling from a height of 10 feet. Anyways, we spent some 2 hours in the water, as usual playing what everyone plays, then collected few stones and “black colored” shells as a souvenir.

After bathing again (Read – Playing in the water), we went to Late Mr. Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace in Mysore. We spent an hour inside the palace museum and in the garden.

Then, we went to a place named “Sangam”, where 2 to 3 rivers meet at a point. One of them being Cauvery, the other one, I don’t remember :P

At around 6:30pm, we took a turn towards Bangalore. My throat was completely damaged (yeah, poor me), so couldn’t speak much (as I occasionally do). Reached Bangalore by 9pm and everyone dispatched except me and my friend who stayed near to my house. We waited for the exact bus to come, and we stuffed ourselves into the already bursting bus. Till I reached my stop, my hands were somewhere, my legs were somewhere else, and my torso bent into a unique position which whenever I think about, gets me into pain.

Of course, I was really tired, with my eyes completely red, as if one couldn’t distinguish between my Iris (the black part) and Sclera (the white part), clearly pointing me to go and fall flat on my bed. But, na, how can I forget to take a bath to get rid of the contamination which I have got from the water (fall) and the suffocating bus. Later, I checked my mails, and allowed my body to go into the mystifying stage(sleep).

I just came back from Innovative Multiplex, Bangalore after watching a Hindi movie named, “Welcome”. Without any delay I would like to give my thoughts in just 2 words, “Pathetic Direction”. Except the small gags which are very famous among all of us, the rest of the movie was absolutely pathetic. I did ROFL at some of the scenes, but the story line and aw God! the length of the movie made me give it only 3/10 rating. As usual, the movie was over spent than required with exotic locations in UAE and the jaw dropping sets. I honestly don’t know whether it’s a hit or a flop. But, if it wouldn’t have been the “top” actors we have in Bollywood, this movie would have definitely sunk.
My suggestion to you is that, it’s better to keep the money in your wallet rather than spending it for this movie. In short, “Don’t Go!”
