Making Stunning Presentations

May 08

I want share my bit of knowledge on how to make elegant and stunning PowerPoint Presentations.

I use Microsoft Office 2010, but this guide also works well for Microsoft Office 2007 with minor changes here and there. If you are using an older version that 2007, then it’s high time you upgrade to the latest version otherwise you would missing all the beautiful changes done in them.

So here are the pointers:

  1. Never use full-stops in bullet points. (In your slides)
  2. Try to use as less words as possible in each slide. I use a simple 6-words-per-slide rule.
  3. Use “Smart-Art” (available only in Office 2007 & 2010).
  4. Use more images and statistical graphs.
  5. Words make people read the slide. This way, they’ll be concentrating on the slides instead of listening to you. So use less words. (Point #2 repeated).

This is my second attempt to start a tech blog. My first one was netgeex.net (now inactive).

In this blog, I’ll try to write about things related with Windows 7 and other products related to it. I know, this is just another tech blog. But I’ll try to filter the redundant articles you get all over the internet and will concentrate on specific portions of Windows 7. This blog will include all original (as much as possible) screenshots and video.

All the best, as you are going to see the geeky side of me ;)
