I build AI and data systems and teach data engineering.
I am an AI Forward Deployed Engineer, consultant and educator with data and software experience since 2012. I build data platforms, integrate AI tools and support systems in production.
I founded and run Vriksh, a Canadian software studio for AI engineering, consulting, software development and training.
How I got here
I began in data analysis and backend development in 2012. My later roles covered data science, analytics and cloud operations, followed by enterprise AI delivery.
I work in Python and SQL, trace failing pipelines and repair release workflows. I also review data access and explain technical decisions to the people responsible for the system.
I work independently or alongside a client team. I involve security and domain specialists when their decisions affect the system.
Teaching changed my engineering
I taught graduate statistics, data visualization, dashboards and real-time Python APIs. I also led workforce programs in data science and data engineering, and organized developer workshops through Google Developer Groups.
Teaching made me more careful about explaining decisions and leaving documentation another engineer can use.
How I approach the work
- Start with the operational problem and the team that will own the result.
- Choose the simplest architecture that meets the actual constraints.
- Design access control, monitoring and failure handling with the main workflow.
- Evaluate model output against representative tasks and known failure cases.
- Document decisions so another engineer can operate the system.
Current interests
I started experimenting with software and web technology in 2004. I now study self-hosted models and developer tools, along with distributed systems and cloud costs. I also explore which automated actions need human approval.
